Building Faith for the Next Generation In Powell River
At Evangel Church, we believe that building a strong foundation of faith in the next generation is essential.
Through Evangel Kids, we provide a welcoming and nurturing environment where children can explore and grow in their faith. Our programs are designed to teach core values such as love, kindness, and compassion, and to bring Bible stories to life through interactive lessons, fun activities, and meaningful discussions. We encourage children to ask questions, learn about God’s love, and form lasting friendships with peers who share similar values.
With guidance from our dedicated team, Evangel Kids equips children with a sense of purpose and faith that will support them throughout their lives!
Here’s what to expect when visiting Evangel Kids for the first time.
First, Check in Your Child/ren
If you need help finding check-in, our hospitality team (those in blue lanyards) or kids team (those in yellow lanyards) will be happy to welcome you and walk you there.
Your children will be released from the main auditorium following the music component of our service. As a parent you are welcome to walk your children to their first time so they feel comfortable.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal informationÂ
(NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
> Parent/guardian name(s)
> Email Address
> Child's name
> Child's birthdate
> Home address
> Mobile number & Carrier (allowing us to reach you, if needed, during the service)
> Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
We want to make sure your children have fun in a safe environment!
Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service:Â In the event that we need to contact you during the service, you will receive a text message through our check in software to notify you. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child's room.
For those who prefer a more quiet environment
Evangel Church offers childcare during service for children 1-2.5 years of age every second Sunday.
We also offer a Viewing Room that is available for parents and guardians with infants (ages 0-2). This room is reserved exclusively for parents and guardians with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.
